Es inmenso y a la vez muy acogedor. Sin embargo, a pesar de que todo esto es cierto, también puede ser un poco complicado. Comprar una tarjeta SIM en la India puede ser un poco complejo, especialmente si eres un viajero extranjero.Probablemente necesitarás muchos documentos y tendrás que seguir muchos pasos para poder comprar una. Incluso si tienes la tarjeta SIM más económica o la más cara de la India, de cualquier forma podría no funcionar con tu teléfono celular a menos de que esté desbloqueado y que el ancho de banda sea compatible. Debes saber esto sobre lo que implica comprar una tarjeta SIM en la India. Tipos de tarjetas SIM: Existen dos tipos de tarjeta SIM disponibles en la India, con una pagas por adelantado y con la otra pagas a medida que consumes. No podrás usar ninguna otra tarjeta SIM, o usar la que ya tienes, operada por otro proveedor, a menos de que el teléfono esté desbloqueado. Para conseguir una tarjeta SIM en la Inia, tienes que presentar los siguientes documentos en versiones originales y en fotocopias: Pasaporte Fotografías Visa India Una dirección local con documentos. Comprobante de la dirección local y otros dependiendo del proveedor de la tarjeta SIM y los requerimientos del vendedor. Dentro de 15 horas posteriores a la exitosa verificación de tu información la tarjeta SIM de la India debería estar activada. A partir de ese momento podrás regresar a la misma tienda a hacer una recarga a tu celular. Tendrás que asegurarte de permanecer en la misma zona en donde compraste la tarjeta SIM para que la activación proceda. Por ejemplo, si compraste una tarjeta SIM local en Delhi, no puedes continuar el proceso de activación si has viajado fuera de Delhi. Tienes que hacerlo dentro de la misma zona en la que se otorga la tarjeta. El gobierno de la India implementó un sistema de tarjetas SIM BSNL gratuitas para turistas y tarjetas SIM internacionales que se vendían en los aeropuertos. Ya no está disponible la tarjeta SIM gratuita para extranjeros que BSNL solía proveer. En la India ya no hay ninguna tarjeta SIM gratuita que te sirva y te advertimos que tengas cuidado si alguien te dice lo contrario pues podría ser una estafa. Pasos para obtener un tarjeta SIM de la IndiaPaso 1: referencia localPara las tarjetas SIM prepago necesitarás una referencia local, nombre y número de teléfono (Por ejemplo, no puedes solicitar una tarjeta SIM en Delhi con una referencia de Mumbai, tiene que ser un número local) No es necesario que tengas una referencia local pero vas a necesitar una porque dicha referencia local va recibir una llamada de parte de la compañía telefónica dentro de las 24 horas posteriores al ingreso de tus documentos. Es posible que sólo llamen a la persona referida una sola vez y en caso de no contesten la llamada podrías tener que esperar un día más para que vuelvan a llamar. También es posible que tengas que repetir todo el proceso de la documentación con un número diferente ya que tu solicitud podría ser rechazada y entonces tendrás que esperar dos días más.
